Tracy L. Southers, APR
Southers joined WordPlay following a 13-year public relations career in corporate and public sector positions encompassing telecommunications, real estate, hospitality, technology, and city government. Prior to joining WordPlay, Southers was a regional public relations director for LXR Luxury Resorts, overseeing PR/marketing activities for two resorts and a private golf club in Naples, Florida. Southers attended The University of Texas, Austin, and received a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from The University of Texas, Arlington. She attained the national accreditation in public relations (APR) designation in 2003. Southers is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, past president of the PRSA Gulf Coast Chapter, a Gulfshore Business magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 business professional for 2007, a mentor with the Education Foundation of Collier County’s Take Stock in Children program, and a volunteer for the Shelter for Abused Women and Children. Southers hails from Fort Worth, Texas, and moved to Naples in 2000. She returned to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 2008 to open a WordPlay office and continues to serve clients in both locations. |
